MASSA: "I’m not going to vote for 3200 as it’s currently written. Step one, I will vote for a single payer option or a bill that does have a medicare coupled public option, which we don’t have right now. If my town hall meetings turn into the same media frenzies and ridiculousness, because every time that happens we lose, We lose another three million people in America. They see that happening and negate us."
PARTICIPANT: "It changes America."
MASSA: "Every time that occurs. So what happens in my town hall meetings frankly is important, because I am in one of the most right wing Republican districts in the country, and I’m not asking you guys to go back to wherever and send people to me. This is a generic statement of what can I do? Well that’s one thing we can do."
PARTICIPANT: "So if we got your meetings to sixty forty, you’d vote…and there was single payer in a bill you would vote for it?"
MASSA: "Oh absolutely I would vote for single payer."
PARTICIPANT: "If there was sixty forty sentiment in the room?"
MASSA: "Listen, I tell every audience I’m in favor of single payer."
PARTICIPANT: "If there was eighty twenty in the room?"
MASSA: "If there was a single payer bill?"
PARTICIPANT: "And there was a single payer…"
MASSA: "I will vote for the single payer bill."
PARTICIPANT: "Even if it meant you were being voted out of office?"
MASSA: "I will vote adamantly against the interests of my district if I actually think what I am doing is going to be helpful."

Massa: "I will vote against their opinion if I actually believe it will help them."

This attitude scares me and I’m not going to be shy about why…You can call it what you will, Elitism, Egalitarianism, The “Bourgeoisie”, whatever, but I’m just going to call a “Duck a Duck” and call it the “New Imperialism”…
Representatic Massa’s comment was made to a friendly, supportive crowd. One to which he had no reason to lie, so I take him at his word when he says that even if 80% of his constituents vehemently oppose his view, he’ll go against their interests because he knows better than they do what’s best for them…
“Eric the Cleric” seems to have the following opinion of his Constituents:
“It’s lucky for them that Respiration is an involuntary muscle response, because otherwise, as stupid as they are, 80% of his Constituency would suffocate ‘cause they couldn’t figure out how to breathe…”
Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Reid seem to have a parallel opinion, albeit with a rather “Narcissistic Bent”… Ms. Pelosi seems to be oblivious to the fact that people are carrying swastikas to town hall meetings to accuse HER of National Socialism, and instead prefers to convince herself that THEY are Nazis… Reid coined the phrase “Evil Mongers” (so much for being the "smartestest" guy in the room,huh Harry?) to identify those who don’t march in lockstep with the Party… Hmmm… “The Party”… Where have I heard that phrase before?

Representatic Baird should really brush up on his History, because he obviously doesn’t know what “Brownshirts” were… True “Brownshirts” were Hitler Youth who were Indoctrinated to “Turn in your friends, neighbors and Family members who dissent against the Party”… If I remember my “current events” correctly, wasn’t there a program just a month or two ago to “Report any ‘Fishy’ e-mails to flag@_________…”… That, Mr. Representatic Baird, is what can truly be classified as “Brownshirt Tactics”… Is it so far beyond the realm of possibility that the people of this country have serious questions when it comes to the “Vaporware” that you support when it affects 1/6th of the Economy? You Sir, had better get either;
#1) a Clue…
#2) A different vocation, because logical, unbiased, practical Representation of your Constituents isn’t your Forte’…
As I was always taught, “Integrity is what you do when no one is looking, or when no one can stop you.”, so in my humble opinion, we’re about to get a true measure of the integrity of “Single Party Rule” that negates every Check and Balance that is Constitutionally provided, should the Democrat Congress opt to “Lawyerball” the Healthcare Legislation by the Parliamentary “Reconciliation” of it as a Budget Item, rather than an open debate in the “Representative Republic” Forums of the House and Senate…
Given that as of yesterday, 57% of “We the People” are of the opinion that we should fire each and every one of you malfeasant Bastards, it should give you pause to stop and consider the retribution involved in following the path of the “New Imperialism” in case you are considering re-election… Actually, I shouldn’t be giving you this warning, because there is very little that would make me prouder of the people of this Great Nation than to see them fire each and every one of you, and replace you with true Public Servants, who harbor no personal agenda and aren’t “Crack-Whores” to the purveyors of the current tenure based “Power Elite”… Is that term too tough for you? It’s nothing in comparison to what I’d like to write… Consider “Crack-Whore” as a GLOWING compliment in comparison…
How many “New Imperialists” do you think there are Ms. Pelosi, and Messers. Reid, Dodd Rangel, Waxman, Durbin, and Baird? Subtract that number from 305,000,000… That’s the number of people that you’re trying to make into adversarial “ Boogeymen” (oh, and by the way, they are the ones you represent, whether they voted for you or not, you do realize that right? )…
Using “Reconcilliation” to pass Obama-Care is analogous to signing a “Do Not Resuscitate” order on your Political Career… Be Warned!

Not a matter of Reform anymore, but a matter of trust…
Senator Claire McCaskill found out the hard way the other day in her Town hall meeting in Hillsboro Missouri on the 11th… In the midst of her lecture to the crowd, she asked, point blank, “You don’t trust me?”… They chanted back an enthusiastic “NO! NO! NO!”…
As I watch this entire “Healthcare Reform Train-wreck” occur in slow motion, something very very apparent, but very subtle begins to gel… This isn’t about healthcare anymore…
When the Obama Administration and this Congress had “Evil Wall St.” Corporate CEO’s, Investment Banks and Corporate Insurance companies in their sights, that was all well and good… These were, after all, Faceless, Greedy Corporate Entities. No soul, no heart, no mercy, dividing up ill gotten gains amongst a “Privileged and Chosen few”…
But now the Target parameters have changed… Instead of Derivative traders, this time it’s Health Insurance Providers, and through the phenomenon called “Collateral Damage”, 85% or more of the Public at Large… The “Public at Large” consists of People with Families, not some protoplasmic entity called a “Board of Directors”… It no longer affects Goldman and Sachs, but Uncle Sal and Gene from down the Street…
I’ve watched as the “Camps” have separated and set up their perimeters… The Independent, Centrist, Moderate, and Libertarian support for this plan has evaporated, not surprisingly, at about the same time as the campaign promises like “ Bills will be posted online for 72 hours before they’re voted on so that the public can read them” and “Healthcare Negotiations will be broadcast on C-Span in the interest of Transparency”… We’re still, and will for quite a long time, finding out how bad it was when Congress said “It’s utterly CRUCIAL that we pass this Stimulus Bill THIS WEEK! But we’ll work out the details later”…
It evaporated when, after 4 years of kvetching, complaining and lawsuits over Bush and Cheneys refusal to release their “Visitors Log” of meetings with Energy Company High Muckety Mucks, Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden participate in the same collusions on quite nearly a daily basis with Insurance executives, Union leaders and Pharma Execs… As a Senator (A Junior one at that), Mr Obama complained that GWB issued “signing statements” to negate the will of Congress and only abide by the portions of law passed by Congress that didn’t conflict with his agenda and promised to limit his use of them, yet signing statements have been issued at least 5 times in the last 6 months… For all the Rhetoric, we seem to be knee deep in “GWB-II, the Sequel”, complete with the behind the scenes villain, David AxelRove, uhhhmmm, I mean “Axelrod”… We went from a Texas Contingent in the Whitehouse, to it becoming the 51st Ward of Chicago Politics…
The Sheeple camps have built their fortifications, and the 7 point “Mandate” from the general election, the Moderates, have packed their Kit and are hiking over the Horizon… The uncomfortable realization that nothing has changed but the National debt, has set in… The Poll numbers show it…
The Bamsters Job approval rating has dropped 10 points in 6 weeks (kinda early in an infant Presidency for that huh?) to 53.1%, The Congressional Job approval rating is now 60.0% negative-30.3 percent positive… Only 1 out of 3 people think that Congress is Trustworthy and effective, and there’s a 1 point spread between Democrats and Republicans in the generic approval numbers… ONE Point…( all numbers from the RCP AVERAGE BTW)… After all the bashing the Republicans inflicted on themselves (and were the Brunt of) for 6 of the last 9 years, wouldn’t you expect at least a double digit lead for the Left?
Unless of course, even in the midst of the cries of “… Inherited this Mess”, the Public is beginning to do the math and realize that the Left has held Congress for the last 3 years, and they hold the Purse Strings… Mr Obama Inherited this mess from a 2 year Incumbent Democratic Congress, so what it now boils down to is “Change we can believe in, once we verify your facts”... As Reagan said, "Trust, but verify."…
I’m highly disappointed in both the left and the right, but I’m buoyed by the fact that there truly is a mobilized Independent Movement, that since the “Bases” have coalesced into their nearly 50/50 division, will actually LEAD the Country in the next two Election cycles…
It’s a matter of trust now, and not one among you can look me in the eye and tell me you “Trust Government to do the right thing”, that you think the phrase “ I’m from the Government, and I’m here to help you” is a good thing to hear, no matter what your Political affiliation… And if you can, I’ll leave you with this parting thought…
Always remember that when you chase the “End of the Rainbow” in search of your Pot-O-Gold, your feet are going to get reeeaaaaaally muddy… You are, after all, running through a downpour to find it…

Post Election Letter to My Senators
Dear Senators Cornyn and Hutchison,
Congratulations on your Victories…
I gave you my vote, as you requested, and here’s what I’d like in return…
I’d like for you to Co-Sponsor a Bill … It should be engineered as follows:
Objective:
Simple enough…
Determine the Failure areas of the Senate and House… And to determine these areas, the failures in the Trading/Banking/Mortgage realm provide fertile ground for determining the Faulty Areas ( Influence peddling) and eliminating the problem so this doesn’t happen again… In addition, the preponderance of Cash-flow should make the assessment easy in these Economic areas…
Structure:
Fund the employment of 50 teams of 3 Non-Partisan Forensic Accountants… These accountants will be teamed with an appointed Prosecutor from each States Attorney General office…
Each of these teams will be tasked with undertaking the investigation of campaign contribution ties to “Earmarking” I personally prefer the “Old School” nomenclature of “Porkbarreling”… When probable cause is found for Racketeering violations of the RICO statutes, warrants will be issued for record Access/Seizure… Actionable charges are to be immediately filed by the Special Prosecutor with the State Attorney Generals Office, and simultaneously made public, in the form of an arrest… This insures that the event is not buried on “Page 6” of the NY Post...
Outcome:
The House and the Senate are so gleefully anxious to “Perp-Walk” corrupt Corporate CEO’s down the steps of their Wall Street offices, when found in violation of the Laws and regulations… Laws and regulations written by the House and Senate… Laws and Regulations that NO-ONE is above, particularly and specifically those who construct and compose them… They, above all others should understand the reasoning behind the regulations, and the consequences of them…
SERIOUS GOVERNMENT REFORM would begin in earnest from the “Inside” when the Second Congressman or Senator is Perp-Walked down the Capital Steps in front of Network Cameras… This IS what it will take to convince the Electorate that our Representatives are serious about Reform… Remember, the Innocent Man or Woman has nothing to hide, do they…
Senator, you asked me to “Extend your Contract” with the people of this state by giving you my vote, so that you could go to work on fixing the Partisan atmosphere in Washington, work across party lines… I did my part, now go do yours…

Congratulations President Elect-Obama…
Unlike many of the Para-Liberals who fumed and fought and denigrated George Bush after 2000, Barack Obama will have my support as an American…Whether I voted for him or not, whether I think his policies will be damaging, at this point make little difference… Like it or not, he’s now MY President, and I will respect the Office…
Now comes a time of reckoning… Time to “Walk the Walk”…
Poll-driven Political expedience will no longer cut it… Hundreds of Millions of Dollars worth of “Touchy Feely” slick Ads are not going to pass laws… The “Transcending Party Politics” clock is now ticking…. “We the People Inc.”, your new employer, are going to expect measurable results…
And it’s time to CONFRONT THE CONGRESS!!!
Dozens of times last night, I heard the phrase “ Bush’s approval ratings are the lowest in the history of Polling”… OK, I’ll buy that, somewhat… 27.8% approval is far from Stellar…
Congressional Approval ratings are 10.5% lower than Bush’s, 17.3% approval, but so far I haven’t heard a word about it…
Obamas Political capitol can easily be squandered by the Pelosi/Reid/Schumer/Emanuel quadratic equation in very short order… Just break one promise...
Ms. Pelosi said 2 years ago that the new Congress would work in a Bi-Partisan Manner, and thus far nothing has been farther from the truth… A Little more than a week ago she reiterated the same sentiment, with the caveat tha "with a majority, it will be better"... Fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice, well you know the rest!
A “Vengeance” campaign against remaining House and Senate Republicans would destroy not only their credibility, but that of the President Elect as well… Americans understand this, and I believe that’s the reason (although the Reid contingent made significant gains last night), the voters determined that the Senate should not be Filibuster or Veto Proof…
17.3%.... That number should be “Idiot-Proof” to improve… Generally, all they should have to do is show up for work, and they can hold that line… But “We the People Inc.” deserve better…
It’s time to get to work… Stalling, disallowing Debates and Votes on the House and Senate Floor, Sandbagging, Poisoning valid Bills with Pork is no longer acceptable… With Democrats in control of 2 out of 3 Branches of Government, and a strong possibility of acquiring leverage in the Supreme Court in the next few years, there are no excuses anymore… “Plausible Deniability” is now replaced by Responsibility and Accountability…

This Blogs Virgin Post!
I Thought I'd Launch my Blog on "Election Eve"...
Simply amazing!
I heard this morning that in my little Texas County, of the 78,000 registered voters, 24,900 have already voted… Almost a third… I can’t wait to see how the turnout is tomorrow…
That gives me hope that there are far fewer “Sheeple” this year…
Now that people are taking responsibility, we need to use that momentum to address the “OTHER” Issues…
Let’s talk for a few minutes about the charges (and I don’t even think it could be called “Alleged”) of Fraudulent voter Registration and the Counter-Charges of “Voter Suppression”…
In the last couple of months, I’ve read up on the Voter Registration problem… Stories from a little Mississippi County that has 486 registered voters over 105 years old, 30,000 convicted Felons registered to vote in Florida… 4,000 Dead People still registered in Houston… ACORN being investigated in 14 states…
I never thought I’d say this, but perhaps we need Election Observers here from the Putin/Medvedev Government, Chaves, and maybe Yasser Arrafats old Cabinet… If you want to catch Rats, you don’t “Think like a Pidgeon”… The Election Observers I mentioned probably have experience than anyone in the world at Election Rigging, Ballot Box Stuffing, Vote Suppression, etc...
The “Help America Vote Act” of 2002, after the “Condo-Commando/Hanging Chad Fiasco” of 2000 was supposed to address some of these Issues, but, your Representatics yet again subscribed to the Government/Military problem-solving protocol #1 before they truly understood the problem:

Hundreds of Millions, if not a Billion or more have been spent on new technology in six years, and I find the results extremely underwhelming!
I can take my credit card and spend 8 bucks at Quizno’s, and by the time I get back from lunch that charge will be posted to my account, and I will have walked out of there with a receipt that shows me what I bought… Why THE HELL can’t we have a “Cash Register style” Voting Machine that keeps an internal “Paper tape Log” and print a voter “Receipt”… But even with that, (and this is where the House and Senate have failed Miserably), the real problem isn’t addressed… What good does the “Newest Technology” provide if “The VOTE of the Individual", a Sacrosanct part of our process can be tainted by these charges?
I was greatly relieved when I voted here last week, to see that even with a Voter Registration Card in hand, each and every person in line also had their photo ID in hand, and expected to have it checked against their Voter Registration…They were checked! Kudos!!!! But technically, it’s not a “Requirement”…
Does a “Photo ID” requirement suppress Low income Voters, the underprivileged, etc…?
NO. Those who want to vote, and are eligible, will vote… Any low income voter, who has a bank account, a job, received government assistance, participated in a “Job to Work program” (or any other State/Local/Federal program of any kind)etc. has at some point had to verify their Identity in some form… But we don’t REQUIRE a Photo ID for the most important aspect of the process… One Individual, One Vote!!!!... If you’re eligible, and can’t produce an ID, then cast a Provisional Ballot until your Identity can be confirmed…
The ACORN chicanery, where I believe the goal was to help Barack Obama, ended up hurting him, and devaluing the sanctity of the individual vote…
Will it supress votes? Most definitely! It will suppress the votes of the Fraudulently Registered, Felons, the Ineligible, and Dead People…
Your Representatics have thrown away 6 years of opportunity, instead using that time, and hundreds of millions of hard earned dollars to foster a “Symbolism over substance” PR campaign that produced no real fix for the problem…
Campaign Financing and Earmarks!
I don’t know if you all are as concerned about this as I am, but are you aware that the two leading Candidates have generated OVER ONE BILLION DOLLARS IN CAMPAIGN FUNDS IN THE GENERAL ELECTION ALONE! If you include all the campaign contributions swept up in the primary Races that number verges on 2-2.5 Billion…
This is freaking obscene…
One of McCains favorite Obama Earmarks was the “ 3 Million dollar Overhead Projector” for a Chicago Museum…I wished that he would have gotten off that line, because it was a Planetarium projector (as an educational project, couldn’t this have been submitted as a Grant request ethically instead of being used as political leverage?), but the Obama Campaign could have totally funded the project “Out of Pocket” and not suffered a single hit in the Checkbook, infact, His campaign could probably by a new projector for every planetarium in the United States, and still have a Surplus of a hundred million in the “Warchest”…
$10,000,000 Dollars of that surplus could hire 200 Elementary School teachers for a year, or improve the payscale and benefits of those we already have… How many School lunches does 40 million dollars buy? How many free healthcare clinics could be opened with 25 Million… That’s how you “Earn Votes” rather than “Buy Them”….
Do we really need this much money in politics? I say either Cap fundraising, or put the surplus to use in a POSITIVE Manner… E-mail your Representatic… Tell them that you want the same “Freedom of Information Act” transparency applied to Campaigns and Campaign contributions, that are applied to The CIA, The FBI and the Military…Again, the lack of “Positive” Identification is leading to abuses, providing “Plausible deniability” cover for Senate, Congressional, and Presidential candidates to take “Grey Area Donations”… We need Transparency in this process… Every donor and their donation should be published in a database that is public, and if you’re going to verify online and credit card contributions “on the back end”, you know, take the contribution, report your fundraising “Record”, and then confirm whether some of those need to be “returned”, then you shouldn’t be able to include those contributions in your “Monthly Gross” until all of them have cleared and been confirmed as Legal and Valid… Again, “Positive Identification” and Transparency would reduce the "Level of probability” of corrupting and manipulating the system…

I heard this morning that in my little Texas County, of the 78,000 registered voters, 24,900 have already voted… Almost a third… I can’t wait to see how the turnout is tomorrow…
That gives me hope that there are far fewer “Sheeple” this year…
